Target Jupiter stargazing evening a resounding success!

8th March 2014

Over 400 visitors enjoyed "amazing views" of the Moon and Jupiter at HCO's most successful free stargazing event yet. The Target Jupiter stargazing evening, run as part of the Oxfordshire Science Festival and National Astronomy Week 2014, gave members of the public the chance to see the best views of Jupiter for years. Five telescopes were running continuously for over two hours, with hundreds of visitors taking their first ever views through a telescope. The sights included the craters of the Moon, Jupiter’s cloud belts and the planet’s four Gallilean Moons.

Thank you to everyone who helped to publicise the event to make it such a great success!

We are planning to run more events like this in the future, so like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to keep up to date with our future events!
